Desenvolve uma carreira profissional vers\u00e1til e arrojada, unindo a performance como maestro, a doc\u00eancia, a pesquisa e ainda escrevendo m\u00fasica para seus projetos especiais. Tem se destacado por marcantes atua\u00e7\u00f5es em concertos com diversas orquestras sinf\u00f4nicas nacionais e internacionais.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Come\u00e7ou a estudar m\u00fasica aos sete anos atrav\u00e9s do acorde\u00e3o por influ\u00eancia de seu pai no interior do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo. Mudou-se para S\u00e3o Paulo em 1976 e, dando seq\u00fc\u00eancia aos seus estudos musicais, em 1977 ingressou no Departamento de M\u00fasica da Escola de Comunica\u00e7\u00f5es e Artes da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo, lugar em que leciona desde 1985 e que dirigiu entre 2006 e 2009. Hoje \u00e9 professor Livre docente e respons\u00e1vel pela cadeira de Reg\u00eancia Orquestral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Transitando entre a m\u00fasica erudita, a m\u00fasica instrumental e a MPB, produziu composi\u00e7\u00f5es, arranjos e atuou como maestro dirigindo espet\u00e1culos e grava\u00e7\u00f5es de CDs, como tamb\u00e9m em turn\u00eas pelo Brasil e pelo mundo, em trabalhos com m\u00fasicos como Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Nan\u00e1 Vasconcelos, C\u00e9sar Camargo Mariano, Ivan Lins, Leila Pinheiro, Egberto Gismonti, John McLauglin, David Russel, Jorge Cabalero, Gianluca Littera, Misha Brouggergossman, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como maestro dirigiu boa parte das grandes orquestras brasileiras: Orquestra Municipal de S\u00e3o Paulo, Orquestra de C\u00e2mara da OSESP, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica do Paran\u00e1, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica do Teatro Claudio Santoro, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica do Recife, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica da Bahia, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica de Campinas, Banda Sinf\u00f4nica do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, Orquestra Jazz Sinf\u00f4nica do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No exterior dirigiu orquestras como a Brooklyn Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra (Nova Iorque), a Royal Philarmonic Concert Orchestra (Londres), a Camerata Mexicana (M\u00e9xico), a Orquestra Regionalle del Lazio (Roma) e Orquestra de Camara Mayo (Buenos Aires), a Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (Indian\u00e1polis), a Orchestra Haydn de Bolzano e Trento (Bolzano), entre outras.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gil Jardim \u00e9 S\u00f3cio Diretor Art\u00edstico e fundador da Philarmonia Brasileira desde 1994, quando criou a Orquestra e tornou-se respons\u00e1vel pela dire\u00e7\u00e3o, concep\u00e7\u00e3o e coordena\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edsticas de suas atividades musicais.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dirigindo a Philarmonia Brasileira, Gil Jardim realizou em 2008, a convite da Columbia Artists Management Inc.(CAMI), a maior tourn\u00e9e de uma orquestra brasileira nos Estados Unidos, tendo como solista Branford Marsalis, um dos mais renomados saxofonistas americanos da atualidade. Foram 40 dias de viagem com 27 concertos realizados. O projeto foi anunciando no territ\u00f3rio americano como \u201cMarsalis Brasilianos\u201d, e teve seu repert\u00f3rio montado com obras de Villa-Lobos e Darius Milhaud.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ainda citando alguns trabalhos dos \u00faltimos anos, em 2012 dirigiriu a Orquestra Jazz Sinf\u00f4nica, tendo como solista o bandolinista Hamilton de Holanda para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de The Mediterranean, um concerto de John McLaughlin. Em 2013 realizou Tourn\u00e9 com a Ochestra Haydn de Bolzano e Trento, pelo norte da It\u00e1lia e \u00c1ustria. Em 2014 realizou concertos nos EUA e Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde 2001 \u00e9 o Diretor Art\u00edstico e Maestro Titular da OCAM \u2013 Orquestra de C\u00e2mara da ECA\/USP, grupo que celebra 20 anos de exist\u00eancia nesse ano e com o qual realiza suas programa\u00e7\u00f5es anuais de concertos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nesta Temporada de 2015 a orquestra desenvolve um plano de assinaturas no Teatro Cetip, localizado no Instituto Tomie Ohtake. Em paralelo, realiza concertos no Audit\u00f3rio Ibirapuera.
